A rose
This rose continues to bloom, it started blooming in June.
An easy day today. Another truckload of plants are planted. The customer had another company in to build a retaining wall, install a swim spa, pour a concrete patio off the bottom entrance, and they will be getting a new upper deck built. As they were doing the excavation some large rocks were placed into what would become the garden area. The hardscaping company brought the soil in and built the beds. All I had to do was decide what plants to use, buy them, and plant them. We also spread the mulch. That was done by 10:45.
I have another job we have been trying to work on. A customer lost some shrubs in the polar vortex 2 years ago, and she asked us to come and take them out for her. We started one day, then found a bee nest in the ground. Two of the students got stung that day. We tried another day that was cooler, I thought the bees would be quiet, but they were buzzing around again. The customer had the next sprayed, but that didn't work. We tried again today, got them all cut down, but when they tried to dig the roots out, the bees were swarming again. Unfortunately I have not been able to get a good enough photo for anyone to ID what kind they are. We may have to wait till mid to late October and hope that they die naturally.
I got the go ahead today on one of the jobs from the property management company. I have to get the other quote emailed this evening. When I dropped some debris off at C&D today, the guy that was in the pay office asked me to leave my card. He is going to talk to upper management about bringing me in to take care of their entrance way garden.
