Windfall

Our neighbours have been having their garden landscaped which has been going on for months, but the first (and only, so far) plant went in a couple of weeks ago; a very large 'statement' tree which looks magnificent.  It was green when it went in but the leaves have now turned to a wonderful bright red.  This one blew over the fence into my garden so I thought it would do for Ingeborg's 'Minimalist Abstract' theme for Abstract Thursday.

In other news, I'm really disappointed that I completely forgot about today being 'International Talk Like A Pirate Day'.  I'm sure I could have managed a minimalist skull and crossbones.  Now, look lively, ye scurvy dogs!
