Everyday Life

No Thanks...

As Grace will be staying here at the weekend I had to take all the stuff I'd moved from future yoga room out of the spare room and put it back where I took it from, albeit a bit more tidily. I couldn't leave it in there as it took up too much space and may have dust that will affect her asthma. It didn't take so long this time at least.

Later I had a walk into town and I got round to investigating the new B&M that is newly open in the former Wilko premises. It's good, and I bought a few things including catnip treats for Minstrel. I didn't go upstairs as the lift was out of order and I couldn't take my trolley.

The only problem with the store is the layout. It's slightly too small for the amount of stuff they have rammed in. Queues at the tills extend into the aisles, which are quite narrow. Some aisles have dead ends so people are moving in both directions too which doesn't help.

When I came home I tested the treats on Minstrel: they met with his approval.

It's been dull and overcast most of the day and Blip inspiration was thin on the ground. I went with this shot of the display outside the little cafe-boat. Apparently it's not that good a place to eat, so I didn't!

Tonight will be Wigan's last game in the regular rounds of Superleague. We play Salford and they are resting several players. Every other team would do the same in the circumstances, it's a squad game and they want their key players fresh for the play-offs. Yet this time it's controversial for some reason...

Wigan should still not take them lightly as 5 of the Salford team are ex Wigan players with points to prove. Wigan are not resting players as they will have next week off anyway - along with the team who finish second. Plus - and even more significant - Wigan need to win to be sure of finishing top of the table and keeping hold of one of the four trophies they hold!
