High Pressure

After a disappointing day yesterday when the cloud cover put pay to swimming at 9pm high tide under the Harvest Moon and we found ourselves swimming instead in the dark, today has been amazing.

The sunrise was beautiful and the sun has been shining out of a clear blue sky ever since . It’s hot with no breeze and strangely no midges either. It’s t shirt and ice cream weather-feels a bit like the south of France without the French but with happy cheerful ‘what have we done to deserve this’ Orcadians.

I hope the weather gods award us the same weather tomorrow. Long live high pressure!
