Another Busy Day...Not For These Two Though!

I had a very productive day today.

I made burgers for our BBQ tonight. I'm no cook but my homemade burgers aren't bad. I'll see what they taste like in a minute, they are being cooked as I blip.

I had our friendly builder come to discuss some decking we would like over the river. At the moment it's one mass of nettles. Good result as he is starting on Monday....bad news we have to clear all the nettles by then. Well as husband can't use his hand I made a good start on it. I've been stung in so many places today....ouch! But I loved working outside in the sun.

Maisie and Oscar sat and watched in the shade. Poor Maisie was dying for me to play fetch with her but I didn't have time. I'll play with her tonight. It will be much nicer cooler.

I had some really lovely letters come through the post from my special need children, with a really nice photo of them all. It was such a nice surprise. I loved all the letters so much. I'll cherish them. I've had some nice bits given to me at work tonight...quite unexpected, but much appreciated. I'm a lucky lady.

I had a good boot session this morning followed by a 3 mile run. Well the going was great....all down hill for a mile and a half...but so hard on the way back, all up hill. I made it though.

Looking forward to tomorrow...the swim in the lake will be awesome. Not sure whether to just swim in my costume or use my wetsuit!

Then last teaching till September....can't wait for my weekends off.
