one day in France

The boundary fence

This bit is still standing luckily, further along to the left a huge tangle of old man’s beard has pulled it over! That’s a job for another day though!
We’ve just got permission to have a bonfire, (9-4, from the 20th till 30th Sept). Trouble is that most of those days are forecast to be rainy, so we’re trying to be really well organised and will start on the dot 9am Friday morning -hopefully!
Today we cut the pyracantha hedge, always a horrid job as it’s so spiky, and pulled up lots of weeds which have gone to seed, but which will burn easily. By mid afternoon we were exhausted so it was time to stop.
