one day in France

Aigues-Mortes

Thank you all for your comments, stars and hearts yesterday. To tell the truth I did have a different blip planned for my special day, but it crept up on me and too late I was already committed to flamingoes. I think the numbers mean that I’ve been blipping for eight years, but that’s only because I’ve lapsed now and again! Still, I never thought I’d be here this long, and it’s a pleasure to follow and be followed by all of you!
So today we went to Aigues-Mortes, a medieval town, for breakfast, and ended up going back for lunch. We were planning to go and see Arles, but on getting there we found the entire centre had closed down due to a rice festival!
For some reason their tourist information website hadn’t thought it important enough to mention, but no matter, we returned to Algues-Mortes, and enjoyed wandering the walls and ramparts, and having a leisurely lunch in the centre with a chap playing the accordion too. It was full on Frenchness!
