Possible messages of S Mouse XXVII

(Monitoring situational anomaly)

No further message has been received from SM. However at the usual time for message transmission the attached image was sent.

It appears to be a conventional photograph, but we have made no progress in understanding its meaning, if any. Indeed we cannot know for certain who, or what, transmitted it.

We urge a continuing high state of readiness: we understand the costs of this but must emphasise again the catastrophe which would follow if any breakout occurred, the costs of which would be many orders of magnitude higher.

We do not recommend preemptive use of weapons systems at this time.
