Red Underwing Moth (Catocala Nupta)…
… (Cat o Nine Tails Numpty?).
I’m now back home, having arrived via one of my favourite Nature Reserves near Amble. (Why not extend the break as much as possible? Despite my grumbles regarding having to leave a holiday let by 10am, I’m going with the flow. And I tried not to worry about all the ‘holiday chocolate’ melting in the hot car while I wandered (lonely as) and lunched. The chocolate is gifts mostly, not self-indulgence. Well, ‘mostly’ :-)
There were few birds to see, but plenty of butterflies and this lovely moth with its parasol out and sunshades on.
The new washing machine (four hour cycle? Don’t) is now ordered. It should arrive on Wednesday. Washing is busy multiplying itself even as I type. (In much the same way that wire coat hangers do, when left to their own devices). I think it will take many hours before laundry order is restored.
The Elderlies are ok.
Didn’t even miss me.
Maybe just one final glass of ‘holiday’ red then?
(Monday naughtiness).
