My cousin's Cafe ??

No wine tasting today - it would have been Sauterne if we had chosen that tour.  Instead we opted for a visit to the small town of Cadillac and the 16th c Roquetaillade. Castle .  I think this was my most enjoyable visit of the week. 

The Castle is still owned by the the family who built c 700i years ago  and the family do still use it to live in and hold functions especially at Christmas.  
The part of the castle that may be visited by the public is at the front and is fairly small at  2 floors high.  There are a few state rooms and a very large kitchen containing the cooking utensils from past years.  Interestingly, this front section also contains the remnants of a women's prison that was still in use in the 1950s. The tour guide didn't take herself too seriously and her presentation was very amusing
