Ptuj - oldest city in Slovenia

Rain! Rain! Rain! Also it is Monday and everything is closed!

We are staying in a delightful guesthouse. “Muzicafe- home of culture “ very quirky.

We did venture out to the tourist office but then visited a museum -Kurent’s house

There is no doubt that the kurent, or korant, an original and unique Carnival character from Ptuj, - see photos

We then crossed the pedestrian bridge and could see the town and castle.

The town seems empty and we were the only people in the restaurant.
