Diary of an Edinburgher

Déjeuner sur l’herbe

A warm sunny morning sitting in the front garden. And the back garden for a bit.

Archie and I took a walk round the Links while JR went for brunch with her Gym pals. There was a big group of elderly people siting round (on their comfy seats) on the grass - it was a lovely scene and reminded me of that famous painting. Though really, the only connection is l’herbe.

While JR was out, I took a notion to make some air fryer scones! I found the easiest recipe ever - three ingredients - lemonade, double cream, self raising flour. Easy peasy. And they were nice. Not quite nice enough to serve to anyone, but very edible. Especially when warm. I ate quite a few. (They were small).

JR popped out to get a sore toe sorted. She went to the very nice podiatrist I visited ages ago, and is all sorted. He has told her to refrain from going to the gym for a few days to rest it. As if!!!

But she HAS actually cancelled gym for tomorrow!!

STOP PRESS: I walked almost as far as JR today!! She took the car to the gym because of her sore toe, and went to lunch instead of taking Archie out. Both step counts in the 7,000s!
