First Miles to Liberty

Just over three months after the Normandy landings, men of the American 30th Infantry Division, better known as the Old Hickory, reached the Belgian-Dutch border at the Delahaut crossroads near the village of Mesch in the early morning of September 12, 1944. Now, 80 years later, veterans are being celebrated and honoured for returning to the places they helped liberate 80 years ago!
