Arley Hall Herbaceous Border

A few weeks ago I'd seen Arley Hall on Gardener's World and mentioned it to Mum as she likes going around gardens. She said that early September is probably the best time to go as the huge herbaceous borders would be at their colourful best. We are a tad later than we'd planned due to our two holidays, but they were still looking good. I've not been before and was quite impressed - it was like a multicoloured carpet, all looking lovely in the afternoon sunshine.  
I'm not sure that many of the plants would be suitable for many smaller gardens with them being so tall, but they were certainly well matched to the quite formal surroundings. 

I'm out to camera club for the first time this season so won't be able to do any catching up - maybe tomorrow....please accept my apologies.
