Rack and Pinion (Grindewald-day 3)

We had a day out in the mountains today travelling to a wonderful place called Schynige-Platte.

Our rickety rackety 'rack and pinion' railway train took us way up into the mountains to a station that is higher than Ben Nevis standing at 1967 metres

At this remarkable place is a breathtaking alpine garden, which is situated on the precipitous slopes of a high mountain plateau.

The views all round are breathtaking and the alpine landscape is very special indeed.

It was cold and wet but it did not detract from what was a great day out.

Another day of sublime memories.

And I got to go on a Choo Choo train!
