Well knock me down with a (chicken) feather!

Yesterday evening, poorly chicken got to her feet, raised her tail again, climbed the steps to the nesting boxes and laid an egg! Then she was right as rain again!
This morning we half expected to see her conked out on the floor, but no! She’s back to normal and joining in with all the others again, so goodness knows what was going on yesterday with her.
Today we weeded the veg patch, but there’s still more to do, and in other news, it’s Battle of Britain Day today, the 84th anniversary, but they don’t seem to commemorate it locally on the actual day any more. 
We’ve had invites to two events, one was on the day the septic tank man came and the other one is next month when we’re away, so we’ll miss them both this year.
