Post (not parkrun) swim

Missing parkrun today, but made the most of being in Gran Canaria by running a 5k route of our own choosing. Parkrun Is not a thing in Spain. Maybe too hot?!

G was back to normal and keen to run too, so we set the alarm for pre sunrise. We took it easy down to our 'start-line' as the sun was rising. Ready to run at 8 am - the coast path was probably the hilliest 'not parkrun' that I have tackled in a long while. I named it 'the 3 lighthouses parkrun', as i ran along each of the 3 spits in the PuertoRico harbour past each of the lighthouses. No one else knew of our exploits, so no volunteers or First-timers' welcome; all part of the fun. I paused for photos at each lighthouse and water at least 3 times, but even though dripping with perspiration, ran all of the 5k. 

G returned to the hotel after, but I went for a fabulous cooling swim in the  Playa de Almadores. The fishes seem to be growing and I was joined by some scoober-divers featured in the blip. 

Back at the hotel pool for the rest of the day, to read, paint and pool swim. A perfect day.
