Playing With Light
Safer than playing with fire!
Here's B in the chemistry class at Grandparents U today. One of the experiments involved cutting open red, blue, and green light sticks, and mixing the liquid contents in test tubes to see what colors resulted. It was a very popular experiment.
If you try this at home, be careful -- When you bend a light stick to activate it, a glass tube inside the outer plastic shell breaks, allowing two different liquids to mix. Apart from the obvious danger of broken glass, the mixture is not something you'd want to get in your eyes -- note the safety glasses.
We were tired -- not just the the grandparents -- when we got back home, so we rested for a while before dinner. After dinner, B and I went back to work in the shop, while Cynthia and Z ran a couple of errands, which included another visit to CreativiTea (for planning purposes).
