Last night was wonderfully clear and I even managed to catch a glimpse of the aurora (see extra) even although the alert had dropped to amber by the time it got dark. 

However this did mean that temperature plummeted over-night and this morning's swim was slightly chillier than yesterday's. Once in the water actually felt not too bad and I went to pine and back.  Afterwards I joined the others in the Dam Cafe for coffee and chat.  

This afternoon I received an interesting email from the theatre (as a friend of the theatre)  announcing the new artistic director.  I can't say I saw that coming - an interesting choice.
