What a gaggle!

Phew, what a day. El scorchio!!

It's just so exhausting doing anything. I know I shouldn't be saying this but I wish this hot spell would end. I also know that we aren't suffering as much as those down south but mid to high twenties is hot enough for anyone surely?

Am doggy sitting Shev's dog Buddy for the next couple of days until they get back from Amsterdam so on my way out to pick him up I stopped at Duddingston Loch to take a few pics.
I haven't been there for years so was expecting swans but there wasn't a single one, just a few ducks and loads of geese.

A couple came down behind me with some bread and started feeding them and they all came waddling over. Now i'm not scared of geese at all but there must have been fifty or sixty all jostling around us. The couple weren't bothered and just kept pushing them away saying 'move over' or 'god you're worse than the dogs' so I guess they were used to handling them but I was a bit unsure of so many of them milling round.
The food finished and they left as suddenly as they arrived and I managed to get a few pics of the aftermath.

Day off work tomorrow. The plan is to go somewhere nice with the dogs but I believe it is to be even hotter so who knows how far we'll get.
