We’d planned a trip to see the Anish Kapoor installation in Liverpool Cathedral today, but by late morning the severity of the ‘showers’ just makes the journey there too much of a mission.
We manage a trip to G’s mum - the first since my op - and having not seen her for a couple of weeks I can really see how much better she’s looking. She’s really settled in and is much happier and more relaxed.
We settle down to a day at home, which for me means mostly reading. Thankfully, I’ve rediscovered the joy of books - my current one is ‘Ink Blood Sister Scribe’ which I’m enjoying far more than I thought I would. There are long sunny spells this afternoon which make relaxing in the conservatory a real pleasure, but while rest is important, I really need to be building up my walking.
I’ve been restricting myself to walks around our garden, and at least they give me the chance to look for blip possibilities, and today’s my favourite find is this tiny feather caught on a twig.
