Pumpkins galore

Today E and I set off for the Helford for a few days with friends.
We stopped nearly half way at the Strawberry Fields farm shop at Lifton on the Devon Cornwall border and had a coffee and an enormous iced bun.  Afterwards we wandered into the shop and perused the expensive knickknacks before looking at the farm produce and other comestibles.  They are gearing up for Halloween with lots of advertisements for the pumpkin fest where families come and pick their own pumpkins off the field - a fun day out in the open air.

We then met E's old neighbours at the Boating Lake on the edge of Helston and they very kindly led us down the maze of  lanes to Helford.  It would have been rather a disaster to  work them out for ourselves - if you know what Cornish lanes are like!
