Reflecting

Another day, another birthday, they come and go. A biggie though and to celebrate we took things easy and just chilled. And walked! S’s grandparents lived not far from our hotel in Südpark so we strolled around there after breakfast. The street’s much as she remembered it but the trees are now huge! From there we headed through woods and alongside a hop-covered railway embankment before coming to Maschsee, a man-made lake used by swimmers, rowers, yacht clubs and a load of swans and guarded by lions!
A long walk beside the water brought us back to the New town hall, around the corner from where we’re staying. Enough exploring, we split a schnitzel for lunch and headed back where a chilly roof terrace awaited. Time for a selfie!
