English Breakfast

Today's the day ..................... for a visit

My sister, Marj, has arrived today to spend a few days with us - which is lovely - and she came bearing gifts.

One of them, as shown above, was actually the innovative present given recently by her choir to the singers in a French Choir who came to the UK to perform a concert with them.  It was the basis of a typical English Breakfast - tea and a proper thin china cup and saucer to put it in - and a pot of homemade marmalade.  Full instructions on how to make proper English tea and toast were included - and also the origin of marmalade.  

I'm sure the French visitors would have been delighted to receive such an inventive and very personal gift - as were we .....................!
