Day 4 - a collage of icebergs

It was hoped we’d get an early call to go on the zodiacs to the shore for a walk and then another cruise around later. However it was too foggy so we moved further north-west into the fjord system. In the end it was decided we’d have a talk by Tom, the marine biologist, about whales.

Eventually we got out on zodiacs to view more icebergs. It was very cold but such fun so see the different shapes.

At dinner we were joined by Bobo, a Chinese woman working in US for the World Bank. She was fascinating and explained about how WB functioned. Then she told us about her life under Mao, how she struggled to get an education and her difficulties till 1977. This was so interesting for us we lived in Hong Kong in the 1960s but were not allowed to enter China.
