By design.

       A K A - Work in progress.I have been, slowly, de-weeding my way up the Drive.  The observant may notice I've left a trail of "Weeds" all the way up.
       I still have NO idea whence it/they came; but it first appeared back here.  Me, being me, thought "What the @£$%^& is THAT; leave it and see".  I'm pleased I did.
       I asked my "Photo Album" what it might be - it was wrong; it said:-
"Linum grandiflorum is a species of flax known by several common names, including flowering flax, red flax, scarlet flax, and crimson flax" which I was reasonably sure it wasn't.
       Plan B - ask my phone; it said:-
"Potentilla thurberi 'Monarch's Velvet'
RHS Plants for Pollinators plants
A clump-forming perennial to 50cm in height, with bright green, five-fingered leaves. The prolific, saucer-shaped flowers, 2.5cm across, are deep raspberry pink with very dark centres, and appear all summer."
       Except that - Where it appeared in '22 it didn't stay Perennial, just toddled farther up the drive,  I might try to adopt it?
