Celtic Cross on Skye

In the churchyard of the ruined 14th century church of Trumpan overlooking Loch Bay, stands this celtic cross. The church, ruined since the 16th century, still has a graveyard and you can see a "grave-digger" over the wall. They do it the modern way with a small JCB digger! On our walk to the end of Waternich Point, we saw the modern way of herding sheep too, with quad bikes! After a wonderful display of the precision of sheepdogs, by our friend's dog this morning, it seemed a noisy and unecological method!

A day of seascapes and good company, in mixed cloud and sunshine, what a privilege on the Isle of Skye, the " Misty Isle".

Thanks yet again to all who are following our journey, wifi usually involves eating and drinking too much, so off to the campervan to make our dinner now!
