The smallest steamer on the lake!

This is a metre long model hand built, not a kit, of Customs Cruiser Vigilant, a single screw customs cruiser built in 1902 and currently berthed at Faversham Creek, Kent. We met this wonderful chap, Philippe, launching his boat this morning as we went out in our nearly 5 metre kayaks. The detail and accuracy of all the hand turned metal bits really intrigued me. He did not put the masts on as it made the mmodel too top heavy. It is fantastic to meet real enthusiasts in life, they glow from the inside if you take an interest.
