What I've Done

The Odles

No visit to the Dolomites would be complete to us without at least one visit to the Odles. When we went up on the Cable Car to Ceceda, the visibility was pretty well zero. We waited for almost two hours, and got a few shots as the clouds cleared a little, but it wasn't looking good. With reluctance, we started descending the path, had got a bout half a mile, and a drop of quite a few hundred feet, when, looking back, ~I could see the clouds clearing more. We turned, and hurried back up the hill (in the thin air, I could hardly breath after I rushed back) and it was so worth it - managed the result in the main pic.

Eventually, we had to come down, so continued the walk, but the clearing clouds offered so much - a few extras too.

Our last day in the Dolomites, we'll be sad to leave - not planning a return trip next year, as we have our two trips for 2025 already planned.
