Exciting wildlife development.
In our post this morning news from Cumbria Wildlife  Trust that they have bought 3,000 acres of Skiddaw, one of the highest fells in the English Lake District.
The letter invites us to contribute to the start of 100 year programme to restore it to its former glory and to become one of Englands highest Nature Reserves.
This will involve planting 300,000 native high level trees to create an Atlantic Rain Forest providing special habitat for Lichens, Mosses and Birds.
Large areas of peat bog will also be restored together with Heathland and alpine grassland.

This is an ambitious and inspiring scheme and I have no doubt that we and many of our friends will be digging in our pockets.
