Old building

I've never noticed this building in Worthing before. I'm guessing it might have been a vicarage at some time in the past as it's near two churches, but it's now divided up into flats. We had a wander up this road and a proper look at the buildings along it for the first time ever! Had driven up here before (years ago) but needed to go and pick up a poster for church from a shop along there. One of the churches along there is now derelict - it had been a fitness centre and the dilapidated sign was still up! A rather buff guy who was our milkman for a few years when we first moved to this area (and also appeared on "Gladiators" once!) used to work there as a trainer at one time.

Had a McDonald's lunch and the member of staff who served me said they take it in turns to go and stand in the freezer because they're so hot! They are also allowed lots of free drinks. The heat in the eating area was pretty awful, but she said it was far worse behind the counter near the kitchen! I think it was around 30 degrees in town today - Paul said it was the hottest temperature he'd felt since he went to Lanzarote last year!

Back home now, church meeting tonight - trying to psych myself up to want to go, but not sure I will in this heat....!
