New View From the Garden

The neighbor has been working on this project all summer. First there was the dirt and noise from the demolition of an old garage; then came lots of concrete removal, digging, pouring of new concrete. Now it looks like the building stage. That’s a pretty tall wall, a lot bigger than the old one. He’s aiming to be done by the rainy season.

I think the plant is salsify. 

High of 87 here this afternoon. I heard it was 107 in LA this morning, which means I should be grateful. And I am.
