The Forester is out with his tramping buddies on a working bee doing some track cutting.  I took myself off to Nelson and the movies.  Today it was Thelma and it is an hilarious account of a grandmother who is scammed out of $10,000 and decides to track her money down.  It was a local scammer and she had the address the money was mailed to so she had clues to follow.  Instead of a car chase her friend and her travel across town on a mobility scooter.  
On the way home I stopped at the pond.  Very few birds around.  Maybe they are sitting on nests.  The blip is a Pukeko, a type of swamp hen.  They swim, fly and walk.
