WELSH POPPY

The weather was much better today - it was dry, warm-ish and sunny ( at times ).  So I was more motivated to go out.  And I had a couple of parcels to collect from Tesco anyway.  So I walked down to the village this afternoon to get the parcels and do some food shopping.  The shops were very quiet. 

Met Jo on my way home... I know her from the  St Marys slimming group.  When that group folded she went to the group in Swalwell and now she goes to the Dunston one - so the only time I see her is when she's out walking her dog.  It was good to have a catch up. 

Took a few flower photos in the back lane on my way to/from the village but my blip was taken in my back garden.  Its a Welsh Poppy.  Most of the poppy flowers are wide open but I liked this bud just beginning to pop.  Thanks to BikerBear for hosting the challenge.
