The Flying Bell
Insh Church, today bathed in dappled sunlight, on its knoll above Loch Insh was built in 1792 and dedicated to St Adamnan the biographer of St Columba. It houses a cast iron bell from an earlier church and which had healing powers., At some unspecified date and for an unspecified reason it was removed to Perth. The bell is said to have broken loose and flown of its own volution back to Insh tolling Tom Eodhnain repeatedly.
