Today turned out to be one of the warmest of the year.
Having seen the forecast we set out quite early to go kayaking on Loch of Clunie. It's advisable to get there fairly early as there's not much parking and it's popular with people with (mainly) inflatable watercraft. It's also worth being early on a calm day as the reflections are good (see extra) but a breeze tends to get up.
We went right round and twice round the island, much easier than out initial outing in that boat. Seen:
1 kayaker, 1 paddleboarder, 2 in an inflatable rowing boat
1 wild swimmer
2 women and 3 small boys having fun on the shore
1 heron, 2 Great crested grebes, geese, swallows and mallards
Home in time for lunch and an afternoon gardening and knitting in the garden
