Green Sandpiper

Well who would have thought it?  Certainly not the couple who were ooing  and aahhing over, I have to say, tiny bird in the distance at Slimbridge WWT. Clueless at this point - ok- I just took some shots.

I confess I did have a quick Google ...after they had left the hide - obviously :) So, it's a bird classified as Amber under birds of Conservation Concern and on the Red List for birds protected. I was lucky to see it.

The spotted redshank was making himself known and he's doing that too in the Extra. 

FINALLY today I have a new computer monitor! I am using it now!!!! I'd quite forgotten what seeing a picture was like on a big screen. A happy bunny!

Millie on the other hand greeted me this morning with her flight neck cushion (whatever) in tatters. Luckily she hadn't licked her stitches too much so Hubs took her to the vet and got a new one. Added to their bill of course. I could have got a small head cone on Amazon but it was too late to do that at this point. 

Just BA now to deal with and then the wedding but I feel I'm rocking through the hurdles.

The HAT? I'll see if I can hire one. Luckily the wedding is not until November.
