Treat time

I didn't sleep well last night, I've no idea what the problem was but I ended up having tea and toast at 4.30am! I eventually got off to sleep afterwards but felt awful when I woke up again. I think all we insomniac blippers should arrange an overnight blip meet, lol.
I boiled up and then roasted a gammon joint today, I finished it off in the oven with a coating of honey and Demerara sugar which gave a lovely burnt caramel flavour - ok I'll admit it, it shouldn't really have been burnt caramel flavoured but I fell asleep!
I picked Isobel up from school at 3. 20, Eilidh came and found me, to say she had good news but it's embargoed until tomorrow, lol.
She went off to SU and Isobel and I went to Two Children where she not only had a small hot chocolate complete with essential marsh mallow, but also half a brownie. I kept the other half for Eilidh, as you can see Isobel was very happy.
We played bridge online this evening which went remarkably well considering we hadn't played for about 6 weeks. Our Monday club starts at the beginning of October, then it really will feel like the start of the winter months.
