A Different Viewpoint?

I picked up John this morning (the on-line photo friend we had drinks with last night) and we headed off to the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies .... the two things he really wanted to see.

It was a nice day and there were several boats using the wheel - which delighted John. He was really surprised at how quiet it was when in motion.
We wandered up to the top and had a chat with a couple of Norwegian tourists waiting their turn to go down  on the wheel.
Then it was a walk through the tunnel to the locks when we had a chat with one of the lock-keepers.
There were 'one or two' pictures taken.

It was then on to the Kelpies.
I parked at the football ground and we walked through Helix Park.
John was amazed that it was possible to hide such massive structures until you are almost right at them.
Again we had a very pleasant chat with a mother & daughter on holiday from the States after I was asked if I would take a picture of them with her phone.

Once we were done there I took John to North Queensferry to let him get some pictures of the bridges from a slightly different viewpoint.
By the time we had finished and had a coffee  and cake it weather was 'on the turn' and there was moisture in the air and by the time I dropped him off at the hotel it was full on rain (normal service has resumed).

As usual, I took too many pictures .... way too many (as per normal).
There are some of of them Over Here
