Fruits of the season
The MAC was buzzing first thing this morning, with lots of enthusiasm following yesterday's AGM. Here's hoping that we all work together without too many hitches.
Then, returning from this morning gym session, I spotted some ripening blackberries. I returned with a tub to harvest them. Then I met a parkrun friend who was part of a gardening club based behind the gym. She proudly showed me her Patty Pan squash in my blip. She has been asked by her gardening friends to keep the seeds for planting next year.
Later I shopped for swim gear in preparation for our holiday before going to the Basin for a swim. I swam towards the sailing club and reached the club pontoon before returning to the steps. A warm swim, although the clouds were over us. Met a gentleman who was throwing a Bass skeleton back into the river. He had caught the fish earlier and didn't want maggots in his food recycling bin. He boasted that it was a 4 pounder, and would have cost a fortune to buy at Morrisons we joked that it should have been free from the river (£4 or 4 lb).
