Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

JR is in a bread making patch. All good. It’s no-knead and only needs to sit for a couple of hours, not the overnighter she used to do. I often find a new loaf sitting in the kitchen! Yum yum.

A very modest step count today. Just round the Links. JR, after she’d climbed up the big ladder and washed the bay windows, took Archie out for a longer walk in the pm, but it was mizzly later on. While I was out, I listened to an interview with Kiri Te Kanawa, opera singer, who famously sang at Charles and Di’s wedding. She came from the wee town in New Zealand that we lived for nearly 20 years.

I watched Part 1 of the series on Volodymyr Zelensky. What a wonderful man he is! His is an amazing story. So amazing, that when JR came back, I watched it again with her. Highly recommended.

Hazel is flying off to sunny climes tomorrow. Not jealous.
