The Workhorse

This is Charlotte - she belongs to the Waterloo Commune and you often see her around town as she carries a huge canister of water in her cart which is used for watering the hanging baskets of flowers. I think it's a great idea and I love to see her.

I've been working today but came into town early to meet up for coffee with two ladies who are regular customers in the shop and who wanted to say goodbye to me. Then tonight was my 'leaving do' from work.

We went out straight from work for drinks and then dinner which was lovely. Our Boss and a couple of other colleagues from our bigger store came too, and we had a table outside on what can only be described as a little island in a big pond! I'd requested a table on the terrace and there are some steps down to a table on a decked area which is surrounded by water. Because we were a fairly large group they'd reserved this table for us which was very nice but I was hoping no-one would topple into the water after a few drinks! Anyway, I'm pleased to say there were no accidents.

It was a really nice night, and they gave me a gorgeous silver necklace with a circular diamante droplet. It's very pretty and a lovely gift to remember them by.
