Paddling …..

….. ….. ….. up a sidestream of the Camelot River.
The Camelot is at the head of Doubtful Sound, in Kaikiekie / Bradshaw Sound, in the short sharp Gaer Arm. It’s wide enough to slow the flow, and so we could paddle 2kms upstream, as far as the first set of rapids. It’s incredibly beautiful and pristine; truly a hidden remote gem.

We went up a wrong sidestream initially into deep mossy forest, where this photo was taken. Such a good mistake as we saw the forest really close up.
