Blue Pansy Butterfly
We left the Lake district this morning in bright sunshine with the intention to drop in at Brockholes Nature Reserve on the way to lunch. It's only 90 minutes home so too early for lunch without a stop somewhere.
However, our plan was thwarted when it started raining just as we reached the turn off. So we continued home instead, arriving at around 11am.
We dropped of Mum so we could both do some washing and then I popped into the Butterfly House to see what I've been missing.
We have had loads more butterflies emerging and now have some new ones along with some eggs and some caterpillars.
This one is a Blue pansy, or dark blue pansy and hails from Africa - not one I've seen before.
Had a nice meal out this evening as neither of us had food in as we are off to Anglesey tomorrow :)
