Wednesday: Menai Bridge Town

There was heavy rain early this morning but by the time I’d had breakfast and coffee and woken up properly … the weather brightened up.

Journey to Menai Bridge took twice as long as it should have because of 3 lots of road works with traffic lights, altered road levels and convoys … eventually I arrived and parked at Mountain View Car Park - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2097734273573324602 - first stop was a clothes shop where I bought a very nice garment, we’ll see what The Sailor thinks …!

I looked in another couple of shops and gradually found my way down to The Strait, took today’s Blip photos, spoke to a couple of Dutch tourists then back to the car.

Next stop “the place with the long name” where I bought a pair of new boots, then the Co-op for a few groceries and a sandwich for lunch. Continued down the A5 to the garden centre for a takeaway coffee and some fruit cake, which I ate in the car then home via the “Llangefni By-pass” past the local Tech College where I was a student of Shorthand and Typing, then Engineering Drawing and Computer Programming when I was in my early twenties, all these were connected with the different jobs I did at the Waterboard :-))
In my forties I was a lecturer at the Tech for a few years alongside  working half time at the University …
