West End
A beautiful sunny day, hooray, for a day out in the West End.
I started off with a wander in the Botanic Gardens, they are looking lovely with the flower beds bright and colourful. Lots of people about too, some tourists but mainly students and their families around for the new term coming up.
On to Oran Mor to meet my friend for our first Play, Pie and a Pint of the new season. The special 20th Autumn season started on Monday and the play ‘Poker Alice’, is a revival from the inaugural season. Written by Greg Hemphill and very well acted by Annie Grace. It was good but as quite often happens, I did not find it as funny as a lot of other people seemed to do.
Afterwards we followed our normal path to Ashton Lane for a glass of wine in the glorious sunshine and a good catch up. A lovely day, the sunshine makes such a difference!
