A Whirl of Pinks……

The Magnolia, one of the tallest trees in my garden, has burst out into almost dinner-plate size flowers. Such a joy every spring. The flowers are very high off the ground. So I cautiously positioned a ladder to climb up nearer to photograph them. A very safe ladder I might add, which sunk into the spongy rain-laden lawn.
There was a very heavy downpour of rain during the night. 7mm in the rain gauge this morning…. More than I expected. And a frost is predicted for tomorrow morning. Changeable spring weather.
