My mum and dad were married on this day in the last century, it was also her birthday 03:09:32, see extras.
Dippy, Luna, Patch and I had a wonderful time strolling around the countryside for a couple of hours before breakfast. Dippy doing his usual sheep work and looking back every 25 metres or so just to see if I was still following, the other two were content with a fetch the stick back game.
More laundry was followed by chicken coop maintenance and kitchen tidying.
After a lunch break Dippy, Luna and I popped out to Instow for a charge around, it was an extremely low tide and the mussel beds were very accessible. A kilo was soon foraged whilst the two puppies gained confidence paddling in the salty water.
They shared a simple clotted cream ice cream with an audience of admirers.
Back to the kitchen to cook the mussels which were delicious, I had to test out the filling for a cheese cake that she was making. Two pigs were returned to their enclosure before another stroll along the tide line as it came in. On returning to Treyhill I found N was tidying up the wedding barn and removing the remaining items that she had used while running the Bar.
