Wednesday

A slight drop in temperature this morning but still a beautiful day with trees showing no signs of autumnal changes in colour. I walked around some different fields with Patch and Dippy, so delightful watching their endless energy and enthusiasm for chasing the stick I threw and Dippy herding the sheep with such confidence.
Finished all of the laundry and some other bits and bobs during the morning, chatted to L regarding how to replace the Bus accommodation which is departing later this month.
Lunch of Bits and bobs which came to hand with some of the last remaining tomatoes from our greenhouse.
The afternoon was spent deep cleaning both chicken coops and having to prise one of the bantams of her nest of three eggs:(
Yet another escape party of four large piglets had to be nipped in the bud, they came back with me, tempting them with some little gem lettuces and jumped straight over the fence which is supposed to keep them in! I constructed a slightly higher barrier which might just keep them in (or not) :))
Meat and vegetable hotpot with dough balls satisfied my hunger before a final stroll around the farm with five of the six resident dogs watching the sun set.
