Of dolphins and wombats

A full day today with wider family and American friends. North Berwick to visit old haunts on a sunny but fresh day: so glad it was not yesterday.

Then back up the coast to visit Britannia, docked in Leith where it has been since 1998. Despite having worked close to the ship for many years I had never visited. So great to hear all the background and history.

The main photo is of dolphins (at least I think that’s what they represent) on the Royal barge. The one of the wombat is in one of the mess rooms where the game involved switching on the fan then playing “tennis” with the flying wombat.

Fascinating to see what life on board was like.
